🪓 Berserker — Melee Burst Specialist

The Berserker is Legend of YMIR’s signature melee diver: high burst, strong cleave, and the ability to punish isolated targets. You trade range for raw damage and momentum, making timing and target selection more important than for ranged classes. On Steam launch, Berserker appeals to players who want readable combos, explosive finishers, and a front-to-back playstyle that shines in skirmishes and crown assaults.

Core combat loop

Open with a gap-closer to deny space, apply your damage amp window, then chain heavy swings into a finisher. Save one mobility tool for disengage—Berserkers win by committing at the right moment, not by chasing forever. In PvE, rotate between cleave skills and single-target bursts depending on pack density.

Strengths and weaknesses

Strengths: strong burst, excellent dive threat, high pressure on backline supports. Weaknesses: kited by disciplined Archers, vulnerable during long animations, requires good map awareness. Pair with allied crowd control from a Warlord to secure kills when enemies burn their dodges.

Gear priorities

Prioritize weapon base damage and crit scaling, then stack durability enough to survive the first exchange. Boots that improve repositioning are often more valuable than marginal armor upgrades early. See the Gear Guide for refine pacing and Amber budgeting.

Server Battle role

In crown assault comps, Berserkers are common dive threats that force healers to panic. Communicate targets and time your commit with Volva AoE or allied slows. On defense, peel divers off your Skald by threatening instant burst on overextended enemies.
